🧾 Creamy Baked Macaroni and Cheese Bowl – Recipe Card

🧀 Ingredients:

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp paprika (optional)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for breadcrumbs)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Boil Pasta:
    Cook macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make Roux:
    In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add Milk & Thicken:
    Gradually pour in milk, whisking until smooth. Stir until thickened (3–5 minutes).
  4. Add Cheese & Seasoning:
    Remove from heat. Stir in cheddar, salt, pepper, and paprika until melted.
  5. Combine:
    Mix cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce until well coated.
  6. Prep Bowls:
    Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease oven-safe bowls or ramekins.
  7. Add Topping:
    Spoon pasta into bowls. Combine breadcrumbs and olive oil, sprinkle on top.
  8. Bake:
    Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden and bubbling.
  9. Serve:
    Garnish with parsley or chives. Serve hot and enjoy!

  • Use sharp cheddar for bold flavor.
  • Whole milk or a splash of cream boosts creaminess.
  • Bake in ramekins for perfect portions!
